Big bang: Riverkings promoted to the Oberliga!

Big bang during the summer break: After a reform of the league structure, which was initiated mainly from Landsberg, the Riverkings are promoted. In the 2020/21 season they will compete against well-known opponents in the ice hockey Oberliga Süd.

Among others, clubs like SB Rosenheim, EV Füssen, former champion Riessersee and the old derby rival from Memmingen are waiting in the Oberliga. However, a lot of preparatory work had to be done to ensure that the promotion at the "green table" could be made a success after the aborted season, said HCL President Frank Kurz. "With a main round so far with 60 games, there were numerous Tuesday matches. It is simply impossible to play them with our team, in which almost all players have a profession and go to work on a fulltime basis".

After numerous video conferences with the German Ice Hockey Association (DEB), the Bavarian Ice Sports Association (BEV) as well as club representatives of the Oberliga and the Bayernliga, a mode was agreed upon in the night before Wednesday, which, according to Kurz, "makes participation in the Oberliga attractive again for smaller locations where semi-professional competitive sport is offered": 40 matches in the main round will be followed - as before - by an interlocking round with the best Bayernliga clubs.

"This makes the risk for us manageable," the club president explained at a press conference. "This means that the Oberliga is no longer the sporting and financial adventure that we rightly would not have gotten involved in." His warmest thanks also go to the main sponsor of the Riverkings, the 3C-Carbon Group AG. "With 3C, we are having an absolutely reliable and loyal partner at our side for years, who is giving us great support even in these difficult and eventful times. Otherwise a decision for the Oberliga would not have been possible at all."

As things stand, the Oberliga is scheduled to resume play at the end of September.

They were experiences in a class of their own, the previous two editions of the HOREX Days. And for the third edition in August 2020, we started planning again last year. Even bigger and more spectacular, that was the credo for the HOREX Days 2020.
As always, the focus of the program was not only on our fascinating premium six-cylinder bikes, but also on the interaction between the many thousands of two-wheel enthusiasts.
Due to current restrictions, events of this size are not permitted in Bavaria on the planned date of the 3rd HOREX Days at the end of August 2020. It is currently not possible to foresee how the situation will develop.
The safety and health of our visitors, partners and employees is our top priority. It is therefore with a heavy heart that we have to postpone the 3rd HOREX Days until next year. We will of course announce the date again in good time on all channels, via our website, the newsletter and in social networks. Because one thing is clear: we are all looking forward all the more to celebrating with our fans, customers and all friends of motorbikes in our factory in Landsberg am Lech!

3C-Carbon Group AG invests in state-of-the-art production technology

The 3C-Carbon Group AG from Landsberg am Lech continues to grow dynamically. In order to be able to adjust the production capacities in the Lechrain Technology Park accordingly, an additional autoclave has now been installed on the factory premises after a spectacular transport.

At 3C-Carbon Group AG, a wide variety of components and parts made of carbon fibre reinforced carbon (CFRP/carbon) are produced in autoclaves for renowned high-tech companies. The new autoclave is one of the largest facilities at the headquarters of the 3C-Carbon Group.
The transport from the world's leading manufacturer of such plants, SCHOLZ Maschinenbau GmbH in Coesfeld, Westphalia, to the new destination in Landsberg am Lech was accordingly complex and spectacular. In two nights, the almost 15-metre long and 4-metre wide heavy transport was guided over 700 kilometres through the Federal Republic. Driving licences for transports of this type are usually only available at night and on Autobahnen. Driving on federal highways is only permitted with police escort.
On Friday at 6:40 a.m., the Landsberg police therefore took over the transport for the last 7.5 kilometres at the large roundabout in Landsberg West to the final destination, one of the ultra-modern 3C production halls in the Lechrain Technology Park. There, the enormous plant was brought into the hall with a 180-tonne truck-mounted crane in precision work lasting several hours.
The autoclave belongs to the most modern generation of these production facilities and forms a further building block in the dynamic growth of the 3C-Carbon Group AG. It is one of several current major investments in the technology park.

MI, based in Schwabmünchen (Bavaria), has been successfully operating since 1995, developing and producing special components for radiation oncology. MI achieves an annual turnover of about 40 million Euro in the business year 2019/2020 with a double-digit return on sales.
3C can look back on a long and successful cooperation with MI. Among other things, 3C is significantly involved in the development and production of CFRP components for the linac solutions of Elekta AB (Stockholm/Sweden). The high-tech carbon fibre components of the 3C-Carbon Group are considered as a recognized market reference. The development speed and quality as well as 3C's unrestricted premium claim will continue to guarantee the basis for a successful cooperation in the future.
Elekta has been a leader in medical precision irradiation for almost five decades. Its nearly 4,000 employees are committed to ensuring that people suffering from cancer worldwide have access to and benefit from more precise, personalized radiation therapies. With the transaction, 3C and Elekta simultaneously enter into a global supply and distribution agreement for MI's medical product portfolio.
The MI employees at the Schwabmünchen site will transfer with the company to 3C. The successful integration of the existing company and its workforce will thus consolidate and deepen the continued close partnership between Elekta and 3C.

Karsten Jerschke, Founder and CEO of 3C: "Our success is based on long-term relationships with our customers and an uncompromising commitment to product quality. Our partners in medical technology demand perfection. We will be able to meet this demand even better by welcoming the new colleagues from Elekta's MI business".
Maurits Wolleswinkel, President Linac Solutions Elekta: "Elekta and 3C are long-standing partners. 3C with its superior design and engineering capabilities is an important supplier for us. Now we are laying the foundation for an even stronger partnership in the future".

100 shiny golden rabbits from a well-known brand manufacturer were given to the care managers of the emergency room, who divided the rabbits between the staff on duty at the hospital and the corona infection outpatient clinic. Hospital spokeswoman Regina Miller immediately thanked 3C via the social media: "Such a beautiful gesture that will certainly sweeten the holiday service!"
A short time later, a few Landsbergers in need also came to enjoy the noble chocolate bunnies. Marlies Klocker, manager of the Landsberger Tafel, accepted two boxes with over 60 pieces from the 3C-Carbon Group AG. "Thank you very much", said Klocker, "especially in times like these we are very happy about such donations". Due to current contact restrictions, the rabbits have been included in the standardized food packages that are currently being distributed to recipients by Red Cross employees. 3C board member Karsten Jerschke was pleased that his donation was so well received, "it is a small gesture of attention and appreciation at Easter for some who are currently under excessive strain and people who are not on the sunny side of life anyway."
