“Fire on Ice” with HOREX at the Snowdance Festival

The 4th edition of the Snowdance independent film festival is breaking all previous records. The number of films shown, the number of prominent actors and the number of screening locations are higher than ever, and the running time will be three times longer than in previous years. The reactions of the citizens of Landsberg allow only one conclusion: the city is “burning” with excitement. In spite of the icy temperatures in the last few weeks, everybody is on fire: Snowdance 4.0 = “Fire on Ice”!

HOREX is honouring this exceptional situation with a second, extravagant special model of its new VR6 motorcycle, the Snowdance #2 / “Fire on Ice”. Even if nobody is thinking of “extinguishing” the excitement, the Snowdance #2 is equipped for all contingencies. In addition to the brilliant HOREX technology, it is, so to speak, the first “fire brigade motorcycle” of the elite manufacturer. Even at the “making of”, the enthusiasm of the makers was again enormous. The young group is passionate not only about HOREX but also other glowing ideas: “Fire on Ice” at Snowdance 4.0!

The spectacular unique specimen is being displayed during the entire festival in the gallery of the foyer of the Landsberg city theatre. The Landsberg-based company is also making a contribution once again at the awards ceremony on the final day (Sunday, 5 February). Just like in the previous year, the “HOREX Award” will be given to the best directing among all festival contributions. The prize is 2000 US dollars, making it one of the highest.

The “HOREX night of the filmmakers” on Friday, 3 February, is new in the Snowdance programme this year and is an expression of the increased commitment. Here in the hall of the Landsberg city theatre, festival co-organiser Tom Bohn will first of all introduce the directors and filmmakers who were involved in the 25 competition contributions on the official shortlist. After the talks, the “HOREX ball of the filmmakers” will be held in the upscale ambience of the theatre foyer.

3C-Carbon Group opens up a new chapter with Harley Davidson

The starting shot has already been fired and construction is in full swing on Marie-Curie-Strasse, in the immediate vicinity of the popular outlet centre “Ingolstadt Village” in the east of the city. Even the defusing of an aircraft bomb from WWII near the company premises did not cause any changes to the timetable. In addition, the search for employees is progressing at full speed, as the plan is to open in the spring of 2017.

A spectacular array awaits customers, interested persons and visitors, covering not only the complete model range of the cult American brand. Anyone who goes to Harley Davidson in Ingolstadt can experience the entire bandwidth of this special world. Across more than 2,500 square metres, in addition to the large showroom, the next few months will see the creation of a boutique for numerous matching textiles and accessories, a Harley cafe, an extensive department for accessories, merchandising articles, care products and much more.

“It’s no coincidence that Harley Davidson has experienced a major boom in the last few years,” according to Managing Director Karsten Jerschke. “Like almost no other brand, the company is not only defined by its products but also stands for a compete attitude to life with them.” 3C-American Motorcycles GmbH now makes it possible to experience this in Ingolstadt, covering a blank spot that has been on the “Harley map” so far. The 3C Group is thereby adding another attractive branch to its business activities.

Additional information will be available soon on the website www.harley-ingolstadt.de

3C donates again for the multi-generation house in Landsberg
“We can bank on the sponsorship of 3C-Carbon Group AG,” said Margit Däubler to Chairman Karsten Jerschke as she expressed her gratitude for the company’s repeated donation. The manager of the multi-generation house in the centre of Landsberg, Germany, appreciates the commitment very much, by her own admission. “It helps us to live as a sort of large family made up of unrelated people, a concept that barely exists anymore.”

3C-Carbon Group AG has been a sponsor right from the start. Since the founding of the social institution in 2006, the company has supported the multi-generation house in Landsberg with financial donations. This year, there was once again a cheque for 15,000 euros that Karsten Jerschke symbolically signed and presented. This is money that is given gladly and invested sensibly, as he emphasises. “They are doing a brilliant job in the multi-generation house. Our contribution is going to the right place,” said Jerschke when presenting the cheque.

About the multi-generation house

The multi-generation house in Landsberg, which is supported by the Arbeiter-Wohlfahrt (AWO) social welfare organisation, provides more than 30 projects for citizens of all ages under one roof. The house’s broad scope includes the following: senior citizens assist with the reading of primary school children as reading mentors, and there are also homework supervision, language mentors, a babysitting placement service, a multi-generation choir, support for senior citizens from IKG secondary school students and much more. In addition to full-time management by Margit Däubler and Anke Wilk, it is mainly the commitment of around 150 voluntary workers as well as donations and subsidies that are the basis for the generation-connecting social work. “We want to give people meaningful tasks that promote the integration of all fringe groups and increase understanding and solidarity generally,” said Ms Däubler.

INTERMOT 2016: Overwhelming Resonance

Heritage Line – a true visitor magnet: We hadn’t seen anything like it before - over 220,000 visitors from 95 countries broke all records during the five official days of the trade show at INTERMOT 2016 in Cologne. The spectacular and highly praised HOREX stand, surely one of the most beautiful exhibition spaces at the trade show this year, was absolutely besieged in Hall 7. Both the première of the new colour and feature edition, the HL (Heritage Line) in the historic black-and-red chrome colour look (based on the legendary HOREX Regina), and the current VR6 series models met with keen interest on the part of visitors and many prospective buyers. “We were very positively surprised and pleased by this exceptional popularity,” said Managing Director Karsten Jerschke on the final day. “It shows us that our product, which is unique in the market, has now been well received and accepted, and spurs us on to continue pushing ahead with the HOREX VR6 success story.”

Current topic: press rides

The press visited the INTERMOT starting on Tuesday, and of course a number of editors and media representatives also visited the HOREX stand. The highlight was definitely the inspiring press conference held for the world première of the new HOREX VR6 HL models. One of the frequently asked questions was when the first test rides would take place. Our answer: in the next two or three weeks, the first intensive test rides will start taking place with representatives from various specialist journals.

Road show in the spring

It is well known that the series production of our VR6 models has begun, and not only the professional journalists want a test ride. Many motorcycle enthusiasts do as well. For everybody who has ever wanted to ride a HOREX themselves, there will be a special opportunity to “experience” the HOREX fascination in the spring of 2017. During an exclusive road show at several unusual locations in Germany, we will not only be showing the current models but also giving people the chance to take a test ride and much more. Information about the exact locations and times will be published on our website and in this newsletter in good time.

HOREX brings “Heritage Line” to Intermot 2016
HOREX lets the memory of the legendary “Regina” come to life again: the high-end manufacturer will present itself at the Intermot 2016 in Cologne from 5 – 9 October with the “HL” (Heritage Line) colour and equipment variation of the current VR6 series model in the classic design.

The youngest hit from the Bavarian motorcycle manufacturer can be admired in trade fair hall 7. The Power Cruiser impresses both as a two-seater “Classic” as well as a sporty “Café Racer” in an outfit that is sure to gain attention not only among the older HOREX fans and traditionalists. “With the paintwork in the classic design, we are establishing our reminiscence of the “Regina” as a globally outstanding motorcycle of the 1950s”, says HOREX Managing Director Karsten Jerschke. In line with the historic role model, the “HL” special model is being kept in the chrome look with the colours red and black, the rims are also getting red colour applications. The highest quality paintwork components developed exclusively according to HOREX design specifications will also be used – like in the other series models and special editions.

In the meantime, the production of the start-up series has begun in the HOREX manufacture in Landsberg am Lech; a growing team of specialists is passionately and meticulously taking care of the assembly of the premium bikes, now including the new “HL” equipment variation in the approximated “Regina” look. However, that’s solely the “Retro” outfit, otherwise each HOREX motorcycle is produced according to the highest quality standards and with extraordinarily significant and technically outstanding components. In addition, numerous specially developed light-construction parts from the HOREX parent company 3C-Carbon AG will be used.
