TSV Landsberg, who have been badly hit by injuries recently, have secured their place in the Football Bayernliga ahead of time with a furious away performance. At TSV Grünwald, Landsberg's victory was practically a foregone conclusion at the break, finishing with an impressive 6:0.
At their neighbours in the table, the visitors left no doubt from the start as to who would take a decisive step towards relegation on this day. After just five minutes, all Sgodzaj had to do was slot home to make it 1-0 after a fine assist from Berwein. After 19 minutes, Penka made it 2-0 with a fine lob over the Grünwald goalkeeper, and shortly afterwards Auburger made it 3-0 with a spectacular shot from 20 metres.
Berwein, who was outstanding on the day, then made it all clear. He increased the score to 4:0 after half an hour with a spectacular side-footed shot and then made it 5:0 with a well-placed shot before the break.
Landsberg could afford to shift down a gear after the break and still managed to score another goal: Bazdrigiannis ran straight at the Grünwald goalkeeper after a precise pinpoint pass in the 76th minute and converted with nerves of steel to make the final score 6:0.
No wonder that TSV head of football Nico Held was more than satisfied afterwards. 'We started the season with one goal scored and one point after eight games. The fact that we have now achieved our major goal two match days before the end deserves my utmost respect. My thanks go to our sponsors, the helpers, the coaching and support team and, of course, the team.'
